Collaboration with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU, Austria)
The Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted a working meeting with representatives from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU, Austria) — one of Europe’s leading educational and research institutions in the fields of sustainable development, agriculture, environmental protection, and the sustainable use of natural resources. BOKU is known for its interdisciplinary approach, integrating natural sciences, engineering, and economics.
The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of potential collaboration in conducting joint laboratory analyses on the concentration of suspended solids and the granulometric composition of sediment samples.
Both parties expressed a strong interest in expanding scientific cooperation, including:
• joint research projects and international field expeditions,
• preparation of scientific publications,
• organization of fieldwork activities,
• and the delivery of seminars and training workshops.
This meeting marks an important step toward strengthening scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange between research institutions in Tajikistan and Austria.
