  On December 20, 2024, during a meeting of the Scientific Council 6D.KOA-059 at the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower, and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Anvar Saidkulovich Kodirov, Director of the Center for Innovative Development of Science and New Technologies of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, successfully defended his doctoral dissertation titled "Patterns of Transformation of Tajikistan's Water Resources by Hydro-Objects under Climate Change Conditions."

  The dissertation was conducted at the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower, and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.

The scientific advisor for the dissertation was Dr. Orif Hamid Amirzoda, Associate Professor, and Doctor of Technical Sciences (Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower, and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan).

The official opponents included:

  • Dr. Shukhrat Odilovich Muradov, Professor (Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection, Karshi Engineering and Economics Institute),
  • Dr. Zafar Abdukakhorovich Razykov, Professor (Department of Ecology, Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan),
  • Dr. Sabur Fuzail Abdullozoda, Professor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (Head of the Atmospheric Physics Laboratory, Physical-Technical Institute named after S.U. Umarov, National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan).

The leading organization was the Khujand State University named after Bobojon Gafurov.

During the dissertation work, patterns of the impact of technospheric transformations by hydro-objects on the hydrosphere in Tajikistan’s river basins were identified, taking into account climatic changes and exploring technologies to ensure hydro-ecological security in the Republic of Tajikistan.

The dissertation consists of an introduction, six chapters, general conclusions, and appendices, presented across 250 pages.

Anvar Saidkulovich Kodirov’s dissertation, titled "Patterns of Transformation of Tajikistan's Water Resources by Hydro-Objects under Climate Change Conditions," was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in the specialty 25.00.27 - "Land Hydrology, Water Resources, Hydrochemistry."
