The meeting focused on the Regional Groundwater Management Initiative in Central Asia (RGWMI), implemented by the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) under the Blue Peace Central Asia programme. The initiative aims to promote sustainable groundwater management, strengthen regional cooperation, and enhance scientific and technical capacity.

  The participants highlighted the important role of academic and research institutions in applied research, knowledge exchange, and evidence-based decision-making, and expressed interest in further cooperation.
