The First National Interagency Dialogue on Groundwater Management Held in Dushanbe
The First National Interagency Dialogue on Groundwater Management was held in Dushanbe, within the framework of which a roundtable discussion on “Improving the Regulatory and Legal Framework for Groundwater Management” took place.
The event was organized by the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan as the national partner of the Groundwater Management Project in the Sughd region for 2025–2028, implemented by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation under the mandate of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
The dialogue brought together representatives of government institutions, the scientific community, and international partners to comprehensively discuss key regulatory and legal mechanisms for groundwater management.
The organization of this dialogue should be regarded as an important milestone in the development of an effective and sustainable groundwater management system in the Republic of Tajikistan.
